The 2026 University of New Mexico McNair Scholars Research Conference

Hi everyone!

I am Suzanne, the graduate recruiter for College of Science at UT Arlington in Texas. We offer a wide array of graduate-level degrees and research programs in each of our six departments - Biology, Chemistry & Biochemistry, Earth & Environmental Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, and Psychology. We are also excited to offer a Master of Science in Applied Statistics and Data Science with a Ph.D. on the way.

In the College of Science, it is common for our Ph.D. applicants to go straight from a bachelors to a Ph.D. program because we know your research is important. What makes our programs different are the level of mentorship students receive, the ability to work across disciplines, and the true diversity on our campus. We are currently the fifth most diverse campus in the US and continue to prioritized the success of our diverse students. In addition to being a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI), UTA earned the Seal of Excelencia certification, a prestigious honor granted to colleges and universities for their commitment to accelerating Latinx student success. We also top the charts for the number of degrees awarded to African American Students in Texas.
